Old Bohemia Church Topic at Spring Meeting

The spring dinner meeting of The Historical Society of Cecil County will be held on Monday, May 17, 2004, at 6:00pm in the Cecilton Volunteer Fire Company Banquet Hall.

The retiring members of the Board of Directors will be recognized. Our guest speaker will be Father Thomas Joseph Peterman from St. Dennis Church in Galena. His topic is “Old Bohemia Church.” He is presently completing a book on the church which is celebrating its tercentenary in 2004. He is the author of “Catholics in Colonial America” and “Catholic Priests of the Diocese of Wilmington, A Jubilee Tear 2000 Commemoration”. He holds a PH.D in American History from the Catholic University of America and is presently the pastor of St. Dennis Church in Galena.

The cost of the stuffed chicken breast dinner is $16.00. If you wish to attend, mail forward a note, including a check in the appropriate amount, to Elizabeth D.
