Elkton and Its Little Harbor Grow Up -- A three part series examining the Big Elk Creek, a waterway that once formed Elkton's southern border. Part I explores how the waterway was once central to Elkton's development and commerce. The series continues with a review of the navigation on the county seat's waterfront in the mid to late 19th century in part IIIt concludes by looking at the difficulties of maintaining a navigable waterway in the 20th century. This series appeared in the County Post, a weekly newspaper.

North East Faces the Fire Fiend  -- A two part series published late in 1996 as the North Fire Company prepared to celebrate 75 years of service to the community.  The second installment is entitled North East Needs Fire Protection.  The articles appeared in the
County Post, a weekly Cecil County newspaper.

Flying Over Cecil -- The first newspaper recorded flight of a plane over the County occurred in 1911.  This article from a 2003 edition of the

Emergency Services Communications in Cecil County -- This article explores the establishment of a central emergency communications center in Cecil County.
